Job summary

BlockReel in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a mid-level editor for a character-driven drama with psychological thriller elements. You will assemble daily footage, manage media, and collaborate with the director to sharpen pacing.

Prepare cuts for color and sound finishing, and work with your own editing workstation and Adobe Premiere Pro. The project runs 6–8 weeks starting in early November 2026 at a flat rate of $250/day, with 8–10 hour days, Monday through Friday, in our Brooklyn studio.

Qualifications

• At least 2–3 feature film credits or equivalent long-form narrative experience.
• Strong narrative reel showcasing rhythm and storytelling.
• Own editing workstation and Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assemble daily footage and manage media.
• Work closely with the director to refine the story and pacing.
• Incorporate sound design and temporary music.
• Prepare cuts for color and sound finishing.
• Provide raw footage and project files, and work in our Brooklyn studio.
