Job summary

The Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) Research Participation Program offers a one-year fellowship at the FDA, OC, in White Oak, Maryland. Fellows work on regulatory science, global health policy, and emerging technologies, contributing to FDA’s domestic and global mission.

The program emphasizes collaboration with FDA mentors, scientific and policy writing, and exposure to AI-driven research within regulatory contexts. On-site fellowship with structured training is provided.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status.
• Education: Associate/Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a STEM field.
• Must read and sign FDA Education and Training Agreement within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Participate in one of four research projects (SFMPs, Foreign Office Operations, AI integration, or Generic Drug approvals).
• Conduct data analyses, literature reviews, and supply-chain investigations as required.
• Collaborate with FDA mentors; write scientific and policy-relevant publications; design AI tools within regulatory contexts.
