Job summary

POLITICO is seeking an experienced journalist to lead coverage of the FDA, pharmaceutical industry lobbying and President Trump’s drug-pricing efforts. The reporter will break news and produce authoritative coverage across POLITICO platforms, exploring how policy shapes pharma innovation and affordability.

The role includes co-authoring the twice-weekly Prescription Pulse newsletter and collaborating across POLITICO’s health care team to deliver real-time insights for subscribers.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years experience covering federal health care policy.
• Proven ability to dig up scoops in a fast-paced newsroom.
• Ability to work collaboratively across beats.
• Demonstrated track record of writing accurately, thoughtfully and quickly.

Responsibilities

• Cover the FDA, pharmaceutical industry lobbying and the Trump administration’s drug-pricing agenda.
• Break news and produce authoritative stories across formats and platforms.
