Job summary

FOUR OAKS FAMILY AND CHILDRENS SERVICES in Grinnell, IA is seeking a Management-level professional to lead Family Centered Services programs, ensuring alignment with outcomes and licensing standards.

You will supervise staff, manage daily operations, oversee grants and contracts, and collaborate with schools, medical and community partners to deliver high‑quality, client‑centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required in social services or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of social service experience.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure program design and implementation to help children and families achieve outcomes.
• Oversee daily operations including care management, supervision, team functioning, fiscal oversight, and documentation.
• Ensure programs meet or exceed performance and licensing standards.
• Assist with administration of grants, contracts, and affiliation agreements.
• Collaborate with school, medical, psychiatric contacts and referring workers to coordinate treatment.
• Maintain facilities for health, sanitation, safety, and appearance.
• Oversee staff scheduling and development; ensure policy adherence.
• Coordinate services with internal and external providers (food, pharmacy, facilities, training).
• Lead staff to achieve client outcomes; document service delivery and treatment objectives.
• Participate in program design with effective, standards-based protocols.
• Provide plans and may participate in direct client activity coverage.
• Create a positive, outcome-oriented culture for staff and managers.
• Oversee hiring, development, supervision, retention; track performance and provide feedback.
• Provide supervision for case, skill, or personnel aspects; monitor quality and progress.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Family Centered Services program design and implementation to allow children and families to achieve successful outcomes.
• Ensure quality delivery of assigned daily program operations, including care management, personnel supervision, team functioning, fiscal oversight, and documentation.
• Ensure programs meet or exceed performance and licensing standards.
• Assist management with the administration of grants, contracts, and affiliation agreements within assigned areas.
• Interface with school, medical & psychiatric contacts, referring workers and collaterals to ensure appropriate treatment is available.
• Maintain facilities to assure health, sanitation, safety, and appearance.
• Ensure staff follows agency manuals and handbooks.
• Coordinate services necessary for assigned programs with internal and external providers (food, pharmacy, facilities, training, etc.).
• Effectively lead staff to ensure clients have successful outcomes, coordinating with Success and/or Case managers.
• Document service delivery, including objectives of treatment and intervention strategies.
• Assist with program design by developing effective, standards‑based treatment and care protocols.
• Provide plans and may participate in direct coverage of activities with clients.
• Create a positive, outcome‑oriented culture for staff and managers.
• Oversee hiring, development, supervision, and retention of qualified staff; track performance and provide feedback.
• Oversee staff scheduling in assigned programs.
• Implement and provide leadership guidance for agency policies and procedures.
• Provide case, skill and/or personnel supervision; supervise staff on quality and timeliness of service provision and case progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services, Psychology, Sociology, Human Services or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of social service experience.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
