Job summary

Capital Group is seeking a Wealth Management Consultant to lead sales initiatives in the Wirehouse Channel and build strong relationships with major Wirehouse firms in New York City. You will identify client needs, coordinate cross-functional efforts, and drive business results through compelling presentations and strategic analysis.

The role requires deep knowledge of mutual funds, SMAs, ETFs and related sales cultures, plus certifications such as Series 7/66, CIMA or CFA.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in third-party distribution and sales cultures.
• Deep knowledge of portfolio construction.
• Hands-on with Excel, PowerPoint and Tableau for custom analyses.
• Strong ability to synthesize information and present it clearly.
• Certifications: Series 7, Series 66, CIMA, CFA are a plus.

As one of our Wealth Management Consultants, you'll lead sales initiatives in the Wirehouse Channel segment, identifying firm and firm representative's needs and coordinate efforts to serve those needs. You'll manage American Funds Distributions presence, relationships, and business results with key Wirehouse firms. You excel at delivering motivational and informative presentations. You're motivated by setting goals and measuring your performance against them.

Territory: New York City

• You have a proven track record in third-party distribution, a broad knowledge of the mutual fund, SMA, ETF and CIT business and sales cultures, and the demonstrated ability to build long-term relationships.
• You have a proven track record and a deep technical knowledge of portfolio construction.
• You know how to leverage technologies to create custom analysis (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, etc.).
• You're well-versed in synthesizing information and presenting it in a distilled manner.
• You have one or more of the following designations: Series 7, 66, and/or CIMA, and CFA

Capital Group is required by state specific laws to include the salary for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The base salary for this role is $75,000 + applicable sales commissions and bonuses. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
