Job summary

Lowe's is hiring a friendly cashier to provide quick, accurate checkout experiences and help customers maximize value at the register. You’ll engage with customers, answer questions, and ensure they leave with a positive impression of Lowe's.

You will handle payments, assist at self-checkout, scan and bag items, and help keep the workspace clean and safe. The role may involve supporting other departments and is designed for a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and basic arithmetic abilities.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer for basic input/output tasks.
• Minimally lift 10 lbs unassisted or over 15 lbs with/without accommodation.
• Sales-related licensure/registration if required by law in your state.
• Retail and/or customer service experience; bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions and provide assistance.
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
