Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to do arithmetic with fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Ability to file, post, mail materials; copy data; guide people and provide basic direction.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner and addresses them by name when possible.
• Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing items, or loading heavy items as needed.
• Redeems coupons/food stamps, handles transactions, and issues receipts.
• Maintains cleanliness, stocks shelves, and ensures proper sanitation and look of the department.
• Works with team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Operates cash register accurately and reports cash discrepancies.
• Performs other duties and special projects as required.
