Job summary

Lowe's is hiring a part-time cashier to ensure fast, friendly checkout experiences and help customers get the best value. You’ll spend time at the register, assist in other departments as needed, and contribute to a high-quality service environment at Lowe's stores.

Responsibilities include handling payments, guiding customers at self-checkout, and keeping the workspace safe and organized. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred, along with the ability to lift up to 75 pounds

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and basic arithmetic are required.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer for inputting and retrieving information.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.
• Sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions.
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned
