Job summary

Salt Lake Community College is seeking a part-time Fashion Lab Specialist to oversee and maintain the Fashion Institute labs and classrooms across South City Campuses. You will keep sewing machines and sergers in good working order, manage irons, and ensure workspace is clean and organized to support student learning.

The role requires reliability, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and effective communication with a diverse campus community.

Qualifications

• Must be Work-Study eligible and a current SLCC student.
• Able to assemble, service and maintain sewing equipment.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Communicate effectively with diverse people across the College.

Responsibilities

• Maintain labs and classrooms, remove scraps and fabrics from surfaces.
• Keep sewing machines and sergers in working condition with correct parts.
• Ensure irons and tables are clean, filled with water, and cords untangled.
• Manage lost and found tools and organize chairs and dress forms.
• Support general janitorial duties as needed.
