Job summary

Farouk Systems Inc. is seeking a seasoned Fashion Photographer to join the Communications Team in Houston. You will plan and execute fashion, beauty, product, and lifestyle shoots that reflect our brand identity and showcase products, models, and beauty looks.

You will collaborate with marketing, creative, PR, and production teams to interpret briefs, guide talent, and deliver compelling imagery across campaigns and ecommerce. The role requires a strong portfolio and advanced lighting knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of professional fashion/beauty photography experience.
• Experience with haircare, beauty, fashion brands and e-commerce photography.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute fashion, beauty, product shoots.
• Collaborate with marketing, creative, PR, and production teams.
• Interpret creative briefs, mood boards, and campaign concepts.
• Direct models, influencers, and talent during shoots.
• Capture high-quality imagery for hairstyles, beauty looks, products and brand messaging.
• Manage studio and on-location photography sessions.
• Ensure lighting, composition, styling and color align with brand standards.
• Edit and deliver final images for campaigns, ecommerce, social media, and print materials.
• Maintain photography equipment and studio organization.
• Deliver images according to production timelines.
• Stay current with industry trends to elevate visual content.
• Support video content creation as needed.
• Handle multiple projects and meet deadlines with high quality.
• Other duties as assigned.

General:

The Fashion Photographer will support the Communications Team with all aspects of photography and will produce compelling visual content that reflects our brand identity and showcases products, models, hairstyles, beauty looks, and current fashion trends.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute fashion, beauty, product, and lifestyle photo shoots.
• Collaborate with marketing, creative, PR, and production teams.
• Interpret creative briefs, mood boards, and campaign concepts.
• Guide models, influencers, and talent during shoots to achieve desired creative outcomes.
• Capture high-quality imagery that showcases hairstyles, beauty looks, products, tools, and brand messaging.
• Manage studio and on-location photography sessions.
• Ensure proper lighting, composition, styling, and color accuracy align with brand standards.
• Edit and deliver final images for marketing campaigns, e-commerce, social media, advertising, packaging, and print materials.
• Maintain photography equipment and studio organization.
• Deliver images according to project timelines and production schedules.
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure final imagery meets brand standards, creative objectives, and production requirements.
• Stay current with industry trends in fashion, beauty, product, and commercial photography to continually elevate visual content.
• Support video content creation and behind-the-scenes content capture as needed for marketing and brand initiatives.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional quality standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in photography, Visual Arts, Fashion, or other related field preferred.
• 3+ years of professional fashion or beauty photography experience.
• Experience working with haircare, beauty, fashion or consumer brands.
• Experience with e-commerce photography.
• Basic video production and content creation experience is a plus.
• Experience photographing consumer products, beauty products, and lifestyle content.

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong portfolio demonstrating fashion, beauty, and commercial photography.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop and Lightroom.
• Advanced knowledge of:
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Lightroom
  • Capture One (preferred)
• Understanding of studio lighting and camera equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and visual storytelling skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
