Job summary

Attersee LLC in New York is seeking a Design & Development Assistant to collaborate with the Design and Product Development teams through the product lifecycle. You will gain hands-on experience with design operations, CAD sketches, and seasonal line sheets.

The role emphasizes supporting prototype development, mood boards, and design boards while maintaining organization of fabric archives. Strong Adobe Suite skills and familiarity with garment construction are essential.

Qualifications

BFA/BA in Fashion Design required.
Prior design internship experience preferred.
Familiarity with the garment district.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Suite, including Illustrator and InDesign.
Strong communication skills.
Understanding of garment construction and pattern making.
Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and follow through.
Ability to commit to 3-4 days a week part-time schedule.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and development process from concept through final sample.
Creating and maintaining CAD sketches.
Creation of seasonal line sheets and design boards.
Support prototype development, including sample mockups, swatching, and product refinements.
Support seasonal research for mood boards, concept presentations and other inspiration materials.
Maintenance and organization of Attersee trim and fabric archive.
Additional administrative support, where needed.
