Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an entry-level Stocking Clerk to ensure shelves are stocked and customers receive friendly, knowledgeable service. You will move products from pallets to shelves, manage back-room backstock, and help keep the store clean and organized.

You will interact with customers and teammates, perform physical tasks, and may work overnight shifts to prepare for the day. This role supports store operations and merchandising initiatives.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates strong customer service and friendly attitude.
• Able to follow processes and stay organized in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Willingness to learn basic technology and store systems.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move products from pallets or carts to shelves accurately.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in back-room areas.
• Work with leadership to complete tasks on time and maintain safety.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers.
• Take overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
