Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking workers to prune Christmas trees using a machete and hand clippers, followed by harvesting the trees. Tasks include dragging, baling, loading and unloading trailers, and occasional operation of farm equipment. Lifting up to 50 lbs and frequent bending are required.

Housing and meals are provided. Transportation to groceries is offered weekly, with additional transport arrangements to origin country if needed. 1 month of similar work experience is required.

Job description

Pruning tops of Christmas Trees with a machete and hand clippers, then harvesting of trees. Duties may include, but are not limited to dragging, bailing, loading and unloading of trailers, climbing ladders, may operate farm equipment or vehicles. Bending, carrying, lifting 50lbs of frequent basis. 1 month experience in similar work required.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Housing will be clean and meet the applicable Federal and State Housing Standards. Workers will be responsible for maintaining housing in a neat, clean manner. Reasonable repair cost of damage, other than that caused by normal wear and tear, may be billed to workers found to have been responsible for damage to housing or furnishing. Housing and utilities are provided at no cost to workers who are unable to return to their place of residence the same day.

The employer will furnish free cooking facilities so workers may prepare their own meals. Free transportation will be provided once a week to grocery store so workers can purchase their groceries.

Transport: For workers who complete 50% of the work contract period, the company will reimburse the worker for costs incurred by the worker for transportation and reasonable subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer. Employees transportation will be arranged to and from their country of origin by some combination of plane, train, bus, taxi service and or employer vehicle.

Experience wanted: 1 months

Exposure to extreme temp, lifting 50 lbs, repetitive movements, extensive pushing and pulling, extensive walking, frequent stooping. Must be able to prune 50 trees of assorted sizes, per hour
