H2ajobs in Bronson, FL seeks a Nursery Worker to plant, propagate, and care for nursery stock including boxwood, grasses, shrubs, and ornamentals. You will perform propagation, irrigation, monitoring, and basic recordkeeping.

Responsibilities include preparing substrates and pots, labeling plants, assisting with customer orders, and keeping the growing areas organized. Experience is modest (2 months) with strong teamwork and plant care aptitude."

Nursery worker :

1. Planting and Propagation

• Prepare seeds, cuttings, or seedlings for germination.
• Place seeds or young plants in trays, pots, or soil.

2. Irrigation and Maintenance

• Water plants according to their specific needs.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, or fungicides as needed.
• Clean, weed, and maintain growing areas.

3. Monitoring Plant Growth and Health

• Monitor for the appearance of pests or diseases.
• Prune, transplant, or remove diseased plants.
• Sort and select the best quality plants.

4. Nursery Preparation and Organization

• Prepare substrates, pots, trays, and tools.
• Organize work and storage areas.
• Keep the nursery clean and tidy.

5. Sales or Distribution Support and Assistance

• Label plants with names and prices.
• Prepare orders for customers or transport.
• Assist with loading and unloading plants.

6. Recordkeeping and Control

• Record the number of plants planted, germinated, and sold.
• Maintain inventories of materials and products.

Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals

Employer-provided housing includes free and convenient kitchen facilities with appropriate equipment, appliances, cooking accessories, and dishwashing facilities for meal preparation. Workers residing in employer-provided housing will be provided free transportation once per week to/from closest town or city for personal errands (e.g., groceries, banking services). Dining, kitchen/cooking facilities and other common areas are shared by all workers. In the event that kitchen facilities become unavailable during the contract period, employer will provide three daily meals in accordance with 20 CFR 655.122(g). In such circumstances, employer will deduct the cost of such meals up to the maximum allowable amount published in the Federal Register, or as otherwise approved by the U.S. Department of Labor.

Transport

Employer will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier (e.g., van, bus, plane) transportation charges for the distances involved for both inbound and outbound transportation. Inbound transportation provided from the foreign worker's home city to the U.S. consulate and from the U.S. Consulate to the work site.

Experience wanted: 2 months

2 months experience planting fruit and ornamental trees, cultivating palms, and in management and care of ornamental plants. Workers are not permitted to be under the influence of intoxicants of any kind during working hours. Employer reserves the right to conduct employer-paid upon-suspicion and/or post-accident drug testing. Any employee who declines to take or fails a drug test will be immediately terminated.
