Job summary

Local Goat in Tennessee is seeking highly energetic servers to join our one-of-a-kind farm-to-table concept. You will create a warm, welcoming atmosphere, take orders, serve food and drinks, and assist guests with menu knowledge and pairing recommendations.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of service-industry experience, be able to operate FOH POS systems, and hold a current ABC server permit. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for advancement as part of our passionate team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be neatly dressed and well groomed.
• Must be able to operate a point of sale terminal, make change correctly, and complete credit card transactions.
• Must be able to deliver plates, food, clear tables, carry ice which may require lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to calmly respond to angry guests and notify a manager.
• Must be able to stand for 6 - 8 hour shift.
• Must be able to complete all training steps and knowledge checks.
• Must be able to respond clearly to guests requests.
• Must be able to hear well in a loud environment.
• Must be able to effectively adhere to all alcohol awareness procedures for serving liquor and beer.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming, and fun atmosphere for our guests and fellow employees.
• Set places at dining tables, take orders, serve food and drinks.
• Answer questions about food and drinks, including their ingredients, preparation, and accompanying items.
• Maintain cleanliness of restaurant by pre-busing tables, cleaning area around and under tables, clean, sanitize and restock server stations.
• Perform all duties in a timely manner in accordance with established company policies. Must be able to maintain all food safety, work safety, and sanitation policies and procedures.
