This is a career track technical position with room for growth. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware, software, wireless networks, low-voltage systems, and cabling infrastructure. This position requires a strong technical aptitude and experience and a desire to work in a farm setting with a team approach. The position is physically demanding and requires work in a variety of environmental conditions (heat and cold) and significant travel (minimum 60% of time) throughout the United States.## WORKING CONDITIONSOn site work is largely performed outdoors with regular exposure to a variety of weather conditions.Work is performed on farms in close proximity to cows.Work is performed using ladders and aerial lifts with heights up to 100 feet.Work requires driving a vehicle and some air travel.## MENTAL AND VISUAL DEMANDSAbility to use a computer and telephone several hours a day in an office environment.## PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTSAbility to sit, stand, kneel, climb ladders, and lift up to 80 pounds as needed.## Qualifications## REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS* Associate degree in Animal Science, General Agriculture, Information Systems, or a related field; additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.* At least one year of relevant experience, such as repairing Windows-based computers, deploying point-to-point or point-to-multipoint wireless networks, providing managed IT services, or supporting technical infrastructure.* Relevant industry certifications or specialized low-voltage experience preferred.* Familiarity with computer hardware, wireless networks and agricultural technology systems.## PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS* Relevant industry certifications or specialized experience in low-voltage systems, CCTV/video surveillance, alarm systems, access control, structured cabling, or networking preferred* Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.* Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to customer locations as needed.
