Farm Job Search in Orcas, WA seeks a Farmer Couple to manage planting, rotation, harvesting, and processing across all farm operations. You will oversee hayfields, orchards, and livestock, while planning expansion and equipment upkeep.

The role includes supervising seasonal workers, implementing Timber Management Plans, and ensuring smooth day-to-day farm activities. Housing is provided and salary is negotiable by experience.

Qualifications

• Farming background with extensive horticultural and animal husbandry knowledge.
• Mechanical systems knowledge is required.
• Strong initiative and problem-solving ability.
• Must pass drug and criminal background checks and hold a valid driver's license.
• Military veterans preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan planting schedules and crop rotation strategies.
• Oversee harvesting and processing of all farm operations.
• Manage hayfields, mowing schedules, and orchards.
• Lead weed/pest management, composting, irrigation, and pruning.
• Care for chickens and other livestock.
• Oversee seasonal worker hiring and training as necessary.
• Oversee implementation of Timber Mgmt Plans and equipment maintenance.
