Tater Farms in Hastings, FL is seeking a skilled Farm and Heavy Equipment Mechanic to keep tractors, heavy equipment, and vehicles running smoothly. This hands-on role requires diagnosing problems quickly, performing lasting repairs, and maintaining a safe, efficient shop environment on the farm.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• 5 years of heavy equipment mechanic experience.
• 3 years of farm-specific experience preferred.
• Experience with John Deere and Diesel Laptop diagnostic systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain tractors, heavy equipment, forklifts, harvesters, semis, and trailers
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on all equipment
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues or necessary repairs
• Utilize diagnostic laptop and other technology to pinpoint mechanical issues
• Provide on-site repair and maintenance services as needed
• Build hydraulic hoses
• Use a torch and weld to make necessary repairs
• Demonstrate Tater Farms' core values of respect, integrity, and dependability in all work activities and interactions with staff and leadership
