Job summary

Opal Foods is accepting applications for the Groundskeeper/Utility Maintenance Technician at the Timberview Pullets Farm in Neosho, MO. This role performs preventive maintenance and repairs on machinery, adheres to safety and animal welfare standards, and supports the Pullet Manager with projects in a live farm environment.

You will maintain equipment like motors and conveyors, diagnose issues, and ensure clean, safe work areas.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Willing to work in a live animal/farm environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep equipment running and operating safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment such as electric motors, pneumatic systems, and conveyor systems
• Perform preventive and urgent maintenance of production machinery and equipment
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Take a proactive approach to issue resolution including root cause analyses and error proofing controls related to down time
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment to perform duties
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
• Keeping track of visitors and supply deliveries
