Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking a Farm Equipment Mechanic to work primarily in a shop in Bristol, South Dakota. You will diagnose and repair grain handling and related equipment, disassemble and rebuild components, test repairs, and ensure engines and electrical parts operate correctly.

Applicants should have at least 2 months of experience, be 18+, and be able to obtain a US driver's license with a clean MVR within two weeks of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience wanted: 2 months.
• Worker must be able to obtain a valid US Driver's License within 2 weeks of reporting to work and possess/maintain a clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Grain cleaning and snow removal.
• Examine equipment to locate and diagnose malfunctions.
• Dismantle defective machines for repair.
• Repair or replace defective parts.
• Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation and making adjustments, as necessary.
• Clean and lubricate parts.
• Test and replace electrical components.
• Tune or overhaul engines.
• Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
