Qualifications

• Bachelor degree plus 3+ years in agribusiness, field crop or dairy management, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated knowledge of economics and business management of farm production.
• Strong interpersonal skills with diverse audiences.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and online tools.
• Knowledge of dairy, livestock, and field crops farming in the Eastern U.S.
• Ability to define and interpret applied research projects.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Leadership and teamwork capabilities.
• Willingness to travel and maintain transportation & NY driver's license.
• Availability for evenings and weekends as needed.
• Respect for confidentiality and ethical judgment.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with farmers and agricultural stakeholders across Western New York.
• Develop and deliver education on dairy, livestock, and crops business management.
• Identify trends and craft practical educational responses.
• Collaborate with faculty, industry partners, and communities to support farm viability.
• Assist with program planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting.
• Create outreach materials and virtual presentations for diverse audiences.
• Use technology and virtual platforms to expand access.
• Participate in grant projects and statewide Extension initiatives.
• Travel extensively to meet producers and attend events.
• Contribute to a collaborative team culture with innovation and problem-solving.
