Valknut Inc. seeks an experienced FANUC Robot Programmer to drive a high-priority automotive integration in Toledo, OH. The role begins with 1–2 weeks on-site at Wixom, MI, then moves to the Toledo plant floor for commissioning and ramp-up.

You will develop from scratch using GM GRS, configure DCS safe zones and PLC handshakes, calibrate iRVision, teach paths, and troubleshoot faults to maximize throughput while maintaining safety.

Qualifications

• Hands-on FANUC robot programming on R-30iB/Plus controllers.
• Experience applying GM Global Robotics Standards (GRS) on a plant floor.

Responsibilities

• Program from scratch: develop, modify, and debug FANUC robot code end-to-end.
• Configure safety interlocks, DCS, safe zones, and PLC handshakes.
• Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot FANUC iRVision (2D/3DV) for pick/place accuracy.
• Commissioning and runoff: path teaching, alignment, and ramp-up support.

Make Your Mark on a High-Priority Automotive LaunchWe are seeking seasoned FANUC Robot Programmers to drive a critical automotive integration in Toledo, OH. You will begin with 1–2 weeks on-site at our Wixom, MI facility and then move to the plant floor in Toledo to carry the project through commissioning and ramp-up.A Day in the LifeYou arrive at the cell with a fresh program concept and a clear read on GM Global Robotics Standards (GRS). Using the FANUC Teach Pendant on R-30iB/Plus controllers, you build from zero—structuring routines, mapping I/O, and configuring DCS safe zones. By midday, you’re synchronizing PLC handshakes and validating cycle sequences. After lunch, you calibrate iRVision (2D or 3D/3DV Area Sensor) to tighten pick/place accuracy, then teach paths, verify mechanical/tooling alignment, and dry-cycle lines to reduce bottlenecks.
