The Fan Development Intern will gain hands‑on experience performing a variety of roles within a fast paced, behind‑the‑scenes environment, with the chance to have a direct impact on professional soccer in Kansas City.Sporting Kansas City’s collaborative environment full of learning opportunities is designed to help all interns evolve their capabilities, challenge their strengths, and reach their fullest potential.

Sporting Kansas City internships allow students or recent graduates to hold a temporary position within the organization, with emphasis on training and gathering practical experience in their field of specialization by doing a variety of tasks as assigned by their Team Lead.

This internship runs from August 25th - December 11th.

All SKC interns must be actively pursuing an undergraduate degree or must have recently achieved their Bachelor’s Degree.

Essential Functions
  • Assist the Fan Development team with gameday activities, as needed. Including but not limited to opportunities like overseeing and executing Sporting Plaza activations, management of stadium entertainment, and running in‑stadium promotions.

  • Assist in the creation of grassroots marketing strategies that lead to fan growth within the region.

  • Assist the Fan Development team with NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) strategies.

  • Attend and participatein event planning meetings, as needed.

  • Organize and communicate with prominent gameday

  • Attend all Sporting Kansas City home games, as well as non‑soccer related events.

  • Represent Sporting Kansas City and its related affiliates in a professional manner at all times.

  • Perform other related tasks as assigned

Match Day Responsibilities

Act as a representative of Sporting Kansas City at all home matches, engaging with guests and working to create Magic Moments for all fans.

  • Must be able to fluently speak, read, and write the English language.
