Commonwealth of Pennsylvania''s Lycoming County C&Y seeks a County Caseworker 2 to support families toward stability by coordinating and monitoring visitation plans and helping parents strengthen relationships with their children.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1 or successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program
• Bachelor's degree with a social welfare major or 12 college credits in related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience
• Equivalent combination of education and experience in related social sciences

Responsibilities

• Visitation Planning: Develop visitation plans that reflect family needs and follow court requirements
• Family Collaboration: Meet with parents and caregivers to gather input and strengthen involvement in visitation
• Schedule Coordination: Organize visitation schedules and work with staff and families to support consistent contact
• Visit Monitoring: Observe visits and provide feedback that encourages growth in parenting skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in social welfare

Bachelor's degree with 12 college credits in sociology/social welfare/psychology/gerontology/criminal justice or related social sciences

12 college credits in related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience

Equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 college credits in related social sciences

Two months from graduation with qualifying degree/credits

As a County Caseworker 2, you will perform the following duties:

• Visitation Planning: Develop visitation plans that reflect family needs and follow court requirements
• Family Collaboration:Meet with parents and caregivers to gather input and strengthen involvement in visitation
• Schedule Coordination:Organize visitation schedules and work with staff and families to support consistent contact
• Visit Monitoring: Observe visits and provide feedback that encourages growth in parenting skills

• Data Tracking:Analyze visitation information to assess progress and identify improvements

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment.
• Work hours are 8:00AM to 6:30PM, Monday - Thursday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience andTraining Requirements:

• Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1; or
• Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program; or
• A bachelor's degree with a social welfare major; or
• A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social service agency; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.

Other Requirements:

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
