Job summary

The State of Arkansas Department of Human Services seeks a Social Services Assistant to support social workers, case managers and clients. You will assist with administrative tasks, outreach efforts and client referrals to ensure efficient service delivery.

This position requires frequent in-state travel, mornings, evenings and weekends as needed, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. A background check and maltreatment registry checks are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of work experience in human services or public service with background and maltreatment registry checks.
• Background check and maltreatment registry checks required by the State of Arkansas.

Responsibilities

• Assist in client intake and service referrals.
• Provide basic counseling and resource navigation.
• Maintain accurate records and case documentation.
• Support community outreach and public education initiatives.
• Coordinate scheduling and follow-ups for client services.
