Job summary

Compass Health Network is seeking a Family Support Provider in Saint Robert to walk alongside families of children with emotional or behavioral disorders. You’ll offer peer support, advocacy, and practical guidance based on lived experience, working full-time with potential evening hours as needed.

You will coach families to navigate systems, connect them with providers, and contribute to personalized service plans while documenting progress and coordinating with care teams.

Qualifications

  • Must have lived experience with a child who has a behavioral or emotional disorder.
  • Must complete FSP Relias and DBH FSP training and obtain Family Support Provider certification within 6 months of hire.
  • A valid driver’s license and agency minimum automobile coverage required.

Responsibilities

  • Coaching and supporting families to understand and meet their child’s needs.
  • Help parents build strong, collaborative relationships with service providers and care teams.
  • Connect families with community resources, support groups, and educational materials.
  • Provide encouragement and emotional support during crises and challenging times.
  • Assist with meeting preparation and participation as requested by the family.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to create individualized, family-centered service plans.
  • Submit timely documentation, including progress notes within 24 hours.
  • Travel to meet families and attend team meetings as needed; Driving is an essential function of this position.

Use your lived experience to make a difference for other families. As a Family Support Provider, you’ll walk alongside parents and caregivers of children with serious emotional or behavioral disorders—offering understanding, advocacy, and practical support based on what you’ve lived and learned.

Full-time, benefit eligible position. Monday - Friday, with evening availability as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

High School/GED required
WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a family member with a child who has been or currently has a behavioral or emotional disorder
  • Must complete and pass the FSP Relias training and DBH FSP training, and obtain a Family Support Provider certification within 6 months of hire date
  • A valid driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required
