Job summary

Four Oaks Family and Children Services is seeking a Family Support Worker to help families stay connected, strengthen relationships, and work toward reunification. You will provide encouragement, guidance, and hands-on support as families navigate challenges and celebrate progress.

This role focuses on bringing families together, coordinating appointments, and connecting them to community resources, with a commitment to making a real impact one family at a time.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and have a High School diploma or GED plus 6 months experience.
• Prior education or experience related to social services is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise interactions between parents, children, and siblings to support positive family relationships.
• Assist with scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, and transportation assistance when needed.
• Connect families to community programs, tools, and support systems.
• Advocate for children and parents while encouraging progress toward family goals.
• Maintain communication with parents and caregivers to provide consistent support.
• Collaborate with Family Support Specialists and other team members to provide family-centered services.
• Observe and document progress, strengths, and areas needing additional support.
