Prince William County Public Schools is hiring a Family Service Worker for the 223-day, year-round Head Start program. The role plans, develops and implements social services, identifies families and children in need of support, and works under the Head Start Administrative Coordinator on site.

The position requires in-person attendance, 7.5-hour days, and bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

An essential function of this position is the ability to work in person and physically report for work on site.

Bi-lingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred.

JOB SUMMARY: This position plans, develops and implements the Head Start social services program and is responsible for establishing a system for identification of families and children in need of social services and implementing program activities to meet their needs. This position also involves implementation of performance standards of all other Head Start components as they relate to the social services and health components. Work is performed under the general supervisor of the Head Start Administrative Coordinator.

SALARY: Hiring Range: $29.81 - $47.73/hour ($49,859 - $79,837/year)
