Job summary

Professional Services Group is seeking a Family Safety Specialist in Oshkosh, WI. This full-time role involves working with at-risk families through the In-Home Safety Services program, including home visits and safety planning to prevent child removal; a $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related field, reliable daily transportation, a valid driver's license, and insurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related.
• Must have reliable transportation daily, valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• One year of experience working with youth and families is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview and evaluate clients to complete intake for Safety Services and Mobile Response programs.
• Analyze client situations to determine services needed to control safety threats.
• De-escalate crisis situations with youth and families.
• Conduct home visits to ensure safety and cooperation with safety plans.
• Formulate, implement, evaluate, and review family safety/crisis plans.
• Mentor families according to safety/crisis plans.
• Provide parenting education, support, and advocacy to clients.
