Job summary

Novant Health in Hilton Head/Bluffton area seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician for a 100% outpatient practice. You will deliver comprehensive preventive, acute, and chronic care in a collaborative team with APPs and nurses, using Epic for documentation.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited school of medicine.
• Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the State of South Carolina (or eligibility to obtain prior to start).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (with intent to become certified within specified timeframe).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality preventive, acute, and chronic disease management in a 100% outpatient setting.
• Collaborate with APPs, medical assistants, and nurses to streamline patient access and continuity of care.
• Utilize Epic for documentation, orders, and care coordination.
• Participate in outpatient phone-call rotation and peer clinical quality reviews.
• Foster longitudinal relationships with patients, families and specialists within the referral network.

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality, comprehensive preventive, acute, and chronic disease management for adult and/or pediatric patient panels in a 100% outpatient clinical setting.

• Collaborate with an integrated team of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), medical assistants, and registered nurses to streamline patient access and continuity of care.

• Utilize enterprise electronic health records (Epic) for documentation, order entry, and timely care coordination.

• Participate in outpatient phone-call rotation and peer clinical quality reviews to uphold evidence-based care standards.

• Foster strong, longitudinal relationships with patients, families, and community specialists within the referral network.

What We're Looking For

• Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited school of medicine.

• Training: Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

• Licensure & Certification:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (with intent to become certified within specified timeframe).

  • Active, unrestricted medical license in the State of South Carolina (or eligibility to obtain prior to start).

  • Active DEA registration and South Carolina Controlled Substance Certification.
