Job summary

Ironside Human Resources in Alaska seeks a full-time Family Practice Physician with OB for a rural hospital northwest of Anchorage. You will focus on OB and prenatal care, with about 60 deliveries per year, and a 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off schedule. Housing provided and travel covered between blocks.

Open to new grads; MD/DO required; ABFM certification; Alaska licensure not required. Sign-on bonus and relocation offered; opportunity to do ER or hospitalist work if desired.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Practice Family Medicine with OB in a rural hospital setting.

Job Description

Rural hospital located several hundred miles northwest of Anchorage, AK seeking a full-time, Family Practice Physician with OB to join their team.

Salary: $300,000/annually

• Sign-on bonus and relocation offered
  

Family Practice Physician Opportunity:

• Family Medicine with OB
  
• Schedule is 4 weeks on and 4 weeks off
  
• The work is providing low risk OB. 2 of their weeks are primary OB coverage and 2 of the weeks are clinic.
  
• For someone who loves OB, this is a great position, where they can focus primarily just on OB and prenatal care.
  
• If they want to also do some ER or Hospitalist work or regular family practice clinic, they can do that also, but it’s not required.
  
• The duties are fairly light. We do just 60 deliveries per year, or about 1 delivery per week
  
• They can live anywhere in the US and we will cover their travel to and from for every work block. They will stay in the furnished housing.
  
• Do not do high risk OB here.
  

Family Practice Physician Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited medical school with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  
• Does not need to be licensed in Alaska
  
• Open to new grads
  
• Successful completion of the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) certification exam.
