Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Novi, MI is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support Family Practice. You will greet and escort patients, take histories, measure vitals, assist with exams, and document in the EHR, while following clinical protocols.

The role requires completion of an MA program ( externship preferred), basic computer skills, and BLS certification by orientation. EPIC experience is valued, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with externship or equivalent clinical experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification preferred by hire date.
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills required.
• Experience with ambulatory patient care and EPIC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare for examinations or procedures.
• Obtain vital signs and document in the EHR.
• Take patient histories using critical thinking and communication skills.
• Prepare, assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments per policy.
• Administer medications as ordered and document in the EHR.
• Document care in the EHR and respond to patient inquiries timely.
• Discharge instructions and medication refill processing as directed.
