Job summary

Community Health and Wellness of Greater Torrington, Inc. is seeking a physician to deliver comprehensive primary care in a Federally Qualified Health Center in Connecticut.

You will diagnose, treat, and manage patients across ages, order tests, prescribe therapies, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to meet diverse community needs. The role requires an MD/DO, CT licensure, completed residency, and board eligibility or certification.

Qualifications

• M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited school.
• Residency completed in an appropriate specialty; board certification or board eligibility desirable.
• Current licensure in the State of Connecticut; valid Federal and State CS licenses.
• Responds constructively to pressure situations and time limits.
• Acts as a role model – willing to accept or volunteer on projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care, including diagnosis and nonsurgical treatment of common health problems.
• Prescribe medication in accordance with CT statute and guidelines.
• Perform diagnostic tests and procedures as needed.
• Explain procedures and test results to patients and discuss treatment options.
• Maintain and complete patients’ health records and communicate with referrals.

Education

M.D./D.O. degree

Residency completed in appropriate specialty

Board certification or Board eligibility desirable

Current licensure in the State of Connecticut

Federal and State Controlled Substance Licenses
