The Family Physician Assistant position is part-time on Mondays and Fridays from 9:00am to 5:30 pm every week and another position for Monday-Fridays 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Off on Wednesdays., on-site role based at San Fernando Medical Center in San Fernando, CA. This role involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed physician, including conducting histories and physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing evidence-based treatment plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing acute and chronic conditions, providing preventive care such as vaccinations and screenings, and offering patient education on disease management and healthy lifestyles. The Family Physician Assistant will see patients across the lifespan in both scheduled primary care visits and urgent care encounters, documenting all care in the medical record and collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. The role also includes participation in care coordination, quality improvement initiatives, and adherence to all clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
