U.S. Army Medical Corps seeks a Family Medicine Physician to deliver comprehensive outpatient care to soldiers, retirees, and their families. You will provide primary care, diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, and participate in readiness medicine while collaborating with specialists.

The role emphasizes direct patient care with opportunities for mentoring learners and contributing to military readiness programs.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Schools
• Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico
• Eligibility for board certification
• Completion of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship in family medicine

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient primary care services
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
• Perform preventative healthcare and wellness exams
• Manage care for active‑duty service members and their families
• Collaborate with specialists and allied health professionals

Unlike many civilian healthcare systems, Army physicians focus on patient care, not insurance authorizations, excessive administrative burdens, or production quotas.
