Job summary

Families United Network in Kingston, PA is seeking a Family Peer Support Specialist who will use lived experience to support parents and caregivers of children with mental or behavioral health needs. You will advocate, guide, and connect families to services in the community.

This role requires travel across Luzerne and Wyoming Counties, flexible hours, and the ability to work independently in homes or community settings. PA clearances are required and the agency pays for them.

Qualifications

• Lived experience raising a child with mental/behavioral health needs.
• Strong communication, listening, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation for travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, encouragement, and advocacy to parents and caregivers.
• Use lived experience to help families navigate services and resources.
• Help families access services, resources, and community supports.
• Help families build confidence and advocate for their children.
