Job summary

Bay State Community Services is seeking a Family Partner who brings lived experience to support caregivers raising youth with significant emotional or behavioral challenges. You will empower families, advocate for services, and collaborate with clinicians and peer mentors within the In Home BaseTherapeutic Care team.

The role is part-time (weekdays 2-6p), 2-3 days per week, with extensive benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement plan, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• No degree required.
• Experience as a caregiver of a youth with special needs or mental health needs preferred.
• Experience navigating child- and family-serving systems, preferably DMH.
• Experience collaborating with state agencies or behavioral health facilities.

Responsibilities

• Support families and caregivers with youth needs.
• Educate families on navigating child-serving systems and processes.
• Develop partnerships with community resources to expand services.
• Attend meetings with families to prepare, participate, and advocate.
