Job summary

CareFirst Urgent Care is hiring a Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and/or Physician Assistant for a full-time Provider position in Milford, OH. Providers set their own schedules with a supportive staff and a competitive benefits package, including medical, vision, dental insurance and 401K match.

The role involves 7–12 hour shifts per two weeks and DOT certification within 30 days. Qualified candidates will be Board Certified APRN or PA, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Board-certified APRN or PA with ability to work as part of CareFirst team.
• New grads welcome; experienced providers also encouraged.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with acute minor medical illness and minor acute exacerbations of chronic illness
• Perform minor office procedures, such as incision and drainage and laceration repair
• Perform wellness physicals, preoperative physicals, work-related physicals (e.g., DOT, pre-employment) and sports physicals
• Manage the patient's care in a timely manner and maintain a level of productivity that is equivalent to the other providers on staff
• Thoroughly and accurately document every patient encounter
• Order diagnostic labs/imaging as needed (point of care tests, x-ray, etc)
• DOT Certification required within 30 days of employment.

CareFirst Urgent Care is immediately hiring a Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and/or Physician Assistant for a full-time Provider position. Providers make their own schedules, receive a competitive benefits package and have a support staff of Medical Assistants, Medical Receptionists, as well as Office Managers and Collaborating Physicians. This Provider position works 7 - 12 hour shifts per 2 week pay period.
