Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a highly qualified Family Nurse Practitioner to provide direct patient care in a clinic setting. You will administer IV therapies, perform assessments, document in medical records, and ensure all orders are accurate and up to date.

Strong collaboration with the IV team and Center Director is essential to quality patient care. The role requires an active NP license, FNP certification, and multi-state licensure where applicable, with travel to worksites as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires MS in Nursing and minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; or any combination of education and experience to provide an equivalent background.
• Current, active, valid and unrestricted NP license to practice as a healthcare professional within the scope of license in applicable state.
• Requires active, current and valid Family Nurse Practitioner Certification.
• Multi-state licensure is required if providing services in multiple states.
• TB test and Hepatitis B vaccination (or waiver) are required.

Responsibilities

• Administer therapies according to prescriber orders, facility protocols and company policies.
• Complete admission process as directed by Center Director.
• Perform physical assessments for patients as warranted; document findings.
• Document all pertinent data in patient medical records and update as needed.
• Communicate changes with the IV team and follow up on problems.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.

Location: Waco, TX - 2320 W LOOP 340, STE 100B

Clinic Hours: Monday - Friday; 8am - 4pm

Schedule: Full - Time

On-site: This role requires associates to work from the posted location full time, enabling consistent face-to-face collaboration, teamwork, and direct engagement. This policy promotes an environment built on in-person interaction, communication, and immediate support.

Family Nurse Practitioner is responsible for patient care within his/her scope of practice in the clinical setting.

How you will make an impact:

Administers ordered therapies according to prescriber order, facility protocols, INS standards and company policy and procedures.

Completes admission process as directed by Center Director.

Performs physical assessment on each patient as warranted and for new consults as warranted by the patient diagnosis.

Documents all pertinent data in the patient's medical record.

Reports all significant changes or observations to the Center Director and is responsible for the follow up on any problem which is identified.

Communicates effectively with other members of the IV team on patient status and observations.

Maintains patient confidentiality at all times by abiding by HIPAA laws and regulations.

Evaluates the patient's response to therapy and documents this finding in the medical record.

Educates patients and/or family members regarding therapy plan.

Participates in the Quality Improvement program.

Ensures that all medication orders are complete, appropriate, accurate and up to date prior to treatment.

Provides clinical coverage for nurse practitioners on PTO/LOA and may also support new market launches.

May require extensive travel to worksite and other locations as necessary.

Requires an MS in Nursing and minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Experience with IVs required

Current, active, valid and unrestricted NP license to practice as a healthcare professional within the scope of license in applicable state required in applicable state required.

Requires active, current and valid Family Nurse Practitioner Certification.

Multi-state licensure is required if this individual is providing services in multiple states.

Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position and Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences

Ability to obtain credentialing with major payors in the market including Medicare/Medicaid preferred.

Extensive experience with IV insertion and maintenance preferred.

Port, PICC, and Peripheral Line experienced preferred.

Titration experience preferred.

Medication mixing and infusion experience preferred.
