Job summary

SmartMED Drive-Thru in Dunwoody, GA, is hiring a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a full-time, on-site role. You will deliver high-quality urgent care in a fast-paced drive-thru setting, assess and treat patients over one year old, and work under the Medical Director with a collaborative medical team.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree (FNP/PA), GA license, national certification, BLS, and 2+ years in urgent care or similar settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing (FNP) or Physician Assistant Studies.
• Current and unrestricted GA FNP or PA license.
• National certification as FNP or PA.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or similar fast-paced setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and histories.
• Diagnose and treat minor injuries, infections, and acute illnesses.

Position Description:

SmartMED Drive-Thru is seeking an energetic and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our award-winning team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to all patients over one year of age, in our fast-paced drive-thru setting. You will assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of acute and non-life-threatening illnesses, injuries, and conditions.

As part of our team, you must demonstrate a commitment to delivering patient-centered care. The provider must be friendly, caring, and able to work collaboratively with our medical team to ensure each patient receives timely, compassionate care.

Because we are a drive-thru medical clinic, applicants will need to be comfortable working outdoors (under the canopy) to care for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking medical histories, performing physical exams, and ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions including minor injuries, infections, and acute illnesses.
• Prescribe medications and provide patient education on treatment plans, follow-up care, and preventative health practices.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage patient flow efficiently while maintaining a high level of care and patient satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Nursing (FNP) or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current and unrestricted FNP or PA license in GA
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a similar fast-paced setting is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-first approach to care.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaborative relationships with team members.

Compensation:Commensurate with experience, 1099 Contractor for year one with potential of moving to W-2 year two.
