Job summary

Alamo City Urgent Care is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our fast-paced urgent care team in San Antonio, TX. You will deliver patient-centered care and collaborate with physicians to manage a diverse range of acute conditions.

The role involves evaluating illnesses, performing procedures within your scope, and maintaining EMR documentation; AI-assisted tools may be used. Schedule includes three 12-hour shifts, rotating Saturdays, and Sundays closed.

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted PA or NP license in the state of Texas
  • Minimum of 2 years of urgent care experience preferred
  • National certification: PA: NCCPA; NP: AANP or ANCC
  • DEA license (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
  • DOT certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
  • ACLS and PALS certifications preferred but not required
  • Strong clinical judgment with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Provide comprehensive patient care in a high-volume urgent care setting
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of acute illnesses and injuries
  • Perform procedures within scope of practice and training
  • Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary team members
  • Actively participate in daily team huddles and support clinical staff with workflow and process improvements
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Utilize and support AI-assisted EMR documentation tools as appropriate

Schedule & Compensation:
  • Schedule:
    • Three 12-hour shifts per week (7:45 AM – 8:00 PM)
    • Rotating Saturdays (7:45 AM – 5:00 PM)
    • Closed on Sundays
    • Closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day (holiday rotations apply)
  • Compensation:
    • Competitive shift-based pay: $75–$80 per hour
