South Plains Rural Health Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable and patient-focused Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team in a rural clinic setting.

This role focuses on delivering primary care in collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and support teams. You will assess and manage acute and chronic conditions, perform exams, document histories, order tests, prescribe medications, and educate patients.

Qualifications

• Current Family Nurse Practitioner license in Texas.
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience in primary care or rural health preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, treat, and monitor acute and chronic medical conditions
• Perform complete physical examinations and patient assessments
• Obtain and document patient medical histories
• Order and interpret routine diagnostic tests, labs, and x-rays
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans within scope of practice
• Educate and counsel patients and families on health management and prevention
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members regarding patient care
• Refer patients to specialists or higher levels of care when necessary
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the EHR
• Participate in quality improvement and patient care initiatives
• Follow infection control and patient safety guidelines

• Monday–Thursday 8-5| Friday 8-12
