The Recruiting Hive invites experienced family medicine physicians to apply for a Faculty Development Fellowship within our Family Medicine Residency Program. The role combines clinical outpatient care with active resident education and curriculum development, preparing you for academic leadership.

Open to board-certified or eligible physicians who have completed a Family Medicine Residency, licensed in Georgia or eligible for licensure, and who are committed to education.

Competenze

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.).
• Completion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency Program by start date.
• Board certified or board eligible by ABFM or AOBFM.
• Valid Georgia Medical License or participation in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact.
• Good standing with current employer or residency/fellowship program.

Mansioni

• Deliver comprehensive patient care in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Actively engage in resident education through precepting, didactic lectures, and program initiatives.
• Contribute to development and innovation of graduate medical education curricula.
• Supervise residents in prenatal, postpartum, inpatient care, and low-risk obstetrics.
• Participate in a structured Faculty Development Curriculum with online coursework and feedback.

Position Overview:

This fellowship is perfect for experienced family medicine physicians or recent residency graduates eager to immerse themselves in teaching and understanding the core principles of graduate medical education. It offers a thorough grounding for future leadership roles in primary care or academic environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive patient care in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Actively engage in resident education through precepting, delivering didactic lectures, and collaborating on program initiatives.
• Contribute to the development and innovation of graduate medical education curricula.
• Supervise residents in prenatal, postpartum, inpatient care, and low-risk obstetrics.
• Participate in a structured Faculty Development Curriculum, including online coursework with ongoing feedback.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
• Average of 2 clinic days, 1 precepting day, and dedicated time for GME education weekly.
• No overnight call required; optional participation in OB or inpatient adult medicine coverage.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.).
• Completion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency Program by the start date.
• Board certified or board eligible by ABFM or AOBFM.
