Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school and completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine.
• Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine.
• Teaching and outpatient/inpatient experience is preferred; new graduates may be considered.
• Current Washington State medical license or ability to obtain one.
• DEA, BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS as applicable; eligible for Medicare/Medicaid participation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required medical staff privileges and credentialing.
• Ability to fulfill clinical, educational, scholarly, administrative, and accreditation responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the FM residency clinic and inpatient settings.
• Supervise, precept, teach, and evaluate residents in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Teach medical students assigned to the FM residency program.
• Develop, maintain, and evaluate curriculum and didactics.
• Serve as faculty advisor and mentor to residents and monitor learning plans.
• Participate in scholarly activities and dissemination of findings.
• Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Participate in program evaluation, CCC/PEC, and accreditation activities.
• Monitor the learning environment and ensure program compliance with ACGME requirements.
• Collaborate with Program Director and faculty; assist with resident recruitment and surveys.
• Attend required meetings and respond to program needs.
