Job summary

Ochsner Clinic Foundation in Metairie, LA seeks Board-certified or eligible Family Medicine Physicians to diagnose and manage care for children and adults. You will develop comprehensive plans, maintain patient histories, and coordinate with specialists as needed to ensure continuity of care.

The position requires an MD or DO, Louisiana medical license, and completion of a family medicine residency. Ochsner Health is an equal opportunity employer.

Job Duties

Diagnose and provide nonsurgical treatment of diseases and injuries for children and adults. Develop a plan of care for each patient, including complete medical history, physician examination, diagnosis, appropriate treatment and/or referral. Confer with consulting physicians, nurses, patients and patients family concerning treatment and care of patients. Refer those cases that require specialist services but maintain responsibility, assuring that continuity of care is provided.
