Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) in Middleton, Idaho, is seeking a full‑time family physician for a co‑located family medicine and urgent care setting. The role involves a 34 patient contact hours schedule with 1:18 call, and a seven‑day urgent care expansion once opened.

The physician will join a multi‑disciplinary team focused on reverence, service to those in poverty, justice, stewardship, and integrity, with EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Completion of an ACGME/AOA Family Medicine residency.
• Board certification or eligibility within 3 years of employment.
• Idaho medical license required.
• DEA registration and controlled substances registration required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive family medicine patient care in Middleton, ID.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a multispecialty group setting.
• Ensure adherence to policies and guidelines and coordinate timely referrals.
• Participate in call rotation and maintain clinic schedules as described.

Job description

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is an 800+ provider multispecialty group practice seeking a physician committed to a multidisciplinary team approach to care and interested in growing a practice as part of a dedicated family medicine program within a multispecialty medical group framework. The physician will practice in a co-located family medicine and urgent care setting serving the rapidly expanding Middleton community. Upon opening, urgent care services will be available seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The clinic can accommodate multiple providers and features a procedure room, laboratory, and on-site x-ray services.

The ideal candidate will commit to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care while demonstrating and modeling our organizations core values of reverence, a commitment to those experiencing poverty, justice, stewardship, and integrity.

The provider will also ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the medical treatment facility and request timely consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated. The qualified candidate must be passionate about family health issues and demonstrate evidence of comprehensive assessment skills, expert clinical skills, and problem-solving abilities.

SAMG utilizes EPIC Electronic Health Record (EMR) in its clinics. Thus, experience with EHR is desirable.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree;
• Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Family Medicine residency program;
• Board certified, or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment;
• Obtain Idaho medical licensure to practice medicine in all its phases;
• Valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Boards of Pharmacy & DEA.

Location: Middleton Clinic-Middleton, ID

Status: Full-Time

Schedule: For full-time - 34 patient contact hrs., with option for 4- or 5-day work week.

Call: Practice call shared with other eligible FM providers (Appx 1:18).
