Job summary

The Cahaba Medical Care Foundation is seeking a full-time physician to join our teaching-oriented clinic in Demopolis, Alabama. You will care for a diverse patient population, perform physical exams, order and interpret tests, and contribute to resident education under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer.

Responsibilities include documenting encounters, coordinating with specialists, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must secure credentialing through hospitals, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.

Responsibilities

• Takes patient histories and performs physical examinations.
• Orders tests and analyzes results to guide care.
• Prescribes treatments and referrals as appropriate.
• Provides patient education and counselling.
• Documents encounters accurately in the medical record (ICD/CPT).
• Precepts medical students and residents as assigned by the CMO.
