Job summary

CHA in Kannapolis, NC is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide direct patient care across CHA clinical programs including Family Medicine, Women's Health, and Pediatrics. You will deliver comprehensive services following established protocols, document care, and participate in patient education and team discussions.

Requires graduation from an approved NP/PA program and NC licensure; 1–2 years' clinical experience with women's health and maternity patients.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program approved by the NC Board of Nursing and Medical Examiners.
  • One to two years of experience in a clinical setting with focus on women's health and maternity patients.

  • Performs physical examinations, prescribes treatments, orders and reviews labs, educates and counsels patients and documents service provision according to program agreement and CHA protocols
  • Maintains patient records and other required documentation
  • Participates in peer chart reviews and coding audits
  • Provides oversight and precept PA/NP students and residents, as needed

Salary Range: $53.00 To $66.00 Hourly

Hours: 8:00 - 5:00 Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

Under the supervision of CHA physicians, provides direct patient care to clients enrolled in CHA programs, including but not limited to Family Medicine, Women's Health (Maternal Health, Family Planning, and SUN), Pediatrics (Child health and Pediatric Primary Care), Substance Use Treatment (SUN and RISE Clinics), and Communicable Disease programs (STD and TB). Delivers comprehensive clinical services in accordance with established medical protocols, program requirements, and standards of care.

Education/Experience:

Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program approved by the N. C. Board of Nursing and Medical Examiners. One to two years of experience in a clinical setting with comfort particularly working with women's health and maternity patients.

Licensure/Certifications:

Licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina
