UVA Medical Associates of Louisa in Louisa, Virginia, is seeking an MD/DO for a family medicine opportunity. The team includes 3 physicians and 6 APPs, with clinic hours Monday through Friday 8 am–5 pm and physicians working four 10-hour days, supported by dedicated staff.

Responsibilities include patient care across clinic and hospital settings, collaboration with leadership, documentation, ordering tests, referrals, and adherence to UVA Health System policies.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited medical school with MD or DO degree.
• Completion of an accredited residency in the chosen specialty.
• Unrestricted license to practice in Virginia; current DEA registration.

Aufgaben

• Provide physician services in clinic and other settings (hospital, facilities) within scope of license and credentialing.
• Collaborate with medical director, management and nursing staff to manage patient care.
• Document health histories, exams, diagnoses and treatment plans; initiate CPR when needed.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; perform procedures as credentialed; manage medications and referrals.
• Educate patients and families; participate in on-call duties and teaching activities.
