Job summary

Privia Health is seeking a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician (MD/DO) to join a patient-centered, collaborative practice in Houston. The role emphasizes growth, research opportunities, and professional development within Privia Medical Group.

You will provide care to adults and geriatrics, with well-woman exams and select procedures, in a supportive environment designed for physician growth. Expect a four-day work week with 4 x 10-hour shifts and light weekend call.

Qualifications

• Experience in Value-Based Care (VBC), coding and billing is a plus but training is provided.
• New graduates welcome; robust training program is available.
• Spanish language skills are highly preferred to serve a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Care for a predominantly adult and geriatric population with some middle school patients.
• Chronic disease management and well-woman exams.
• Procedural skills including skin biopsies, joint injections, cryotherapy, and women’s health procedures.
• Manage a patient load of about 20-22 per day with a lunch break and administrative time.
• Schedule comprises four 10-hour shifts, 7:00 am–5:00 pm, with a possible move to 4.5 days.
• Light call burden: approximately 1 in 10 weekends, with individual patient care during the week.
